Polygons

X-Plane® polygons are used to create surface areas that are overlaid on the ground, for example for pavement in different materials, grass or markings that cover an area (and are therefore more suited to a polygon than a line). The simulator will match the elevation of the underlying terrain, which makes them suitable for applying surfaces irrespective of the ground mesh that the user has installed.
